2010 Program Updates
The following is a look at some changes you’ll see in the Pepsi Indiana Junior Golf Program for 2010.
Communication
During registration you’ll notice that we are now looking to differentiate between your home and cell phone numbers. The reason for this is so we can add the ability to send text messages to alert you of any changes, cancellations or weather delays we may experience. Many times these situations arise late the evening before or early the morning of the event and we have no good way to get in touch with everyone. Now, in addition to e-mail and website updates we will be able to send text alerts as well. Please help us gather this information by updating your accounts with the correct numbers. We will not use your numbers for anything other than Indiana Golf Office communications.
Withdraw/Refund Policy (Mountain Dew Junior Tour & Aquafina Prep Tour)
The Pepsi Indiana Junior Golf Program has always done its best to accommodate busy and changing schedules. However, often times this flexibility has negatively affected our on-site staff, office staff and other players. We’ve updated our policy on withdrawing from events to still allow maximum flexibility while improving the system for everyone affected. Below is a sample of the new policy, the full policy can be seen by looking at the Tour Information page.
If you need to withdraw from a Mountain Dew Junior or Aquafina Prep Tour
event, you MUST notify the Junior Program in advance of the event. Failure to
notify the Junior Program will be considered a "no show" and could
result in disqualification from your next scheduled tour event.To ensure fairness to our staff and other players, in order for a player to be
transferred to different event you must notify the junior program by
5:00pm two business days prior to the event.

If the Junior Program is not notified by the listed times, the player will
not be able to move into another event and will not receive a refund. You DO
NOT need to speak to someone in the Junior Program to make a change. You can
send an e-mail or leave a message as long as it is done prior to the listed day
and time. Please call (800) 779-7271 ext. 231 or e-mail
juniors@indianagolf.org. Leave the name of the tournament you would like to
withdraw from and the tournament you would like to be placed in.
The Boys State Junior Championship has expanded the
qualifications to become an exempt player. Starting in 2010, players that meet
the following criteria will be exempt from qualifying for the Boys State Junior
Championship:
- Past
- Past
- Any player that advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2009
Championship
- Any player that finished in the Top 10 of Stroke Play at
the 2009 Championship
- Top 10 and ties at the 2009 Hoosier Junior Championship
- Individual Champion & Runner-up at the 2010
- Top 5 and ties at the 2010 Indiana Section Junior PGA
Championship
- Champions at the 2010 Age Group Championships in the
14-18 year old divisions
