Apprentices & Pre-Apprentices

Apprentices

Apprentices are those registered in the Professional Golf Management (PGA / PGM) Program through PGA of America. Apprentices must follow the Acceptable Progress schedule for the PGA/PGM Program, and for employment.

2010 Section Tournament Participation

  • Follow the Acceptable Progress schedule for the PGA/PGM Program.
  • Complete 16 Indiana Section specific education credits - earned by attending either the 2009 Fall or 2010 Spring Business Meeting.
  • Passed the PAT and the 2010 Section Rules Test.
  • Live in Indiana and maintain eligible employment. 

2010 Tournaments

Apprentices registered with the Indiana Section are eligible to play in the following tournaments (as long as they have met the requirements outlined above):

*Indiana Open
*Indianapolis Open
*Southern Open
*Northern Open
*Monticello Open
  Pro-Assistant
  Pro-Junior
*Section Pro-Ams
**Assistant's Championship
  Senior Open
  Woman's Open
*Team Event
*Tournament Series Events





* requires a one-time Player's Fee.      ** register for the event through PGA Links.


Pre-Apprentices

Pre-Apprentices are those registered with the Indiana Section, with the intent of completing the necessary requirements to enter the Professional Golf Management (PGA / PGM) Program. Applicable for one calendar year.

Dues

Indiana section dues of $10 for all Pre-Apprentices, paid annually.

2010 Section Tournament Participation

  • Live in Indiana and maintain employment at an Indiana facility.
  • Complete 16 Indiana Section specific education credits - earned by attending either the 2009 Fall or 2010 Spring Business Meeting.
  • Passed the PAT.
  • Passed the 2010 Indiana Section Rules Test.
2010 Tournaments

Pre-Apprentices registered with the Indiana Section are eligible to play in the following tournaments as long as they have met the requirements outlined above:

  Pro-Assistant
**Assistant's Championship
 Women's Open

* requires a one-time Player's Fee.   ** Register for this event by calling 1.800.779.7271.        Pre-Apprentices are not eligible to qualify for the National Assistant's Championship.
