Diet Dr Pepper Championship Events


Eligibility

The Diet Dr Pepper Junior Championships are open to any junior golfer who is a resident of Indiana and whose home course is a dues paying member of the IGA-PGA. Junior golfers who are participating on the Aquafina Prep Tour, Mountain Dew Junior Tour or Pepsi Max Masters Tour may sign up for these Championships in addition to their regular Tour events. All Championship event entries are processed in the order they are received.

87th Boys State Junior Championship

The Boys State Junior Championship will be held July 23-27, 2012 at Purdue University's Kampen GC in West Lafayette. It is open to any male resident who has not yet reached his 20th birthday as of July 27, 2012. High School graduates are eligible for tournament play only during the summer following their senior year.

62nd Girls State Junior Championship

The Girls State Junior Championship will be held oJune 18-22, 2012 at Hillview CC in Franklin. It is open to any female resident who has not yet reached her 20th birthday as of June 22, 2012. High School graduates are eligible for tournament play only during the summer following their senior year.

Age Group Championship

The 2012 Age Group Championship will be held at Indiana National GC at Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth on June 27-28, 2012. The Championship is open to any Indiana resident who is between the ages of 10-18 as of June 27, 2012. No player under the age of 10 is eligible. The Age Group Championship is a two-day, 36 hole, stroke play event. Players will compete in Age Groups against only players that are the same age. No player under the age of 10 as of June 27, 2012 is eligible.

Indiana Section Junior PGA Championship

The 2012 Indiana Section Junior PGA Championship will be held at Honeywell GC, Wabash on July 5-6, 2012. This event serves as a qualifier for the National Junior PGA Championship. The qualifier is played in age divisions: 16-18 and 13-15. However, the PGA does not restrict younger players from playing "up" into the 13-15 division.. All 13-18 year olds will play the same set of tees and are all eligible to qualify for the National Championship. This is a 36 hole event with a cut after the first day of competition.

Boys Team Championship

The Boys Team Championship will be held on August 6, 2012 at Dye's Walk CC in Greenwood. Age Divisions are 13-14, 15-16 and 17-19. The format of this event is Four Ball Stroke Play. Players may choose to partner with someone in a different age group, however, the team will compete in the division of the oldest player.

Girls Team Championship

The Girls Team Championship will be held on June 7, 2012 at Shadowood GC in Seymour. Age Divisions are 12 & Under, 13-14, 15-16 and 17-19. The format of this event is Four Ball Stroke Play. Players may choose to partner with someone in a different age group, however, the team will compete in the division of the oldest player. The 12 & Under division will play a 9-hole event.
