New Course Record
June 12th 2009 -

A personal and course record round of 8-under-par 63 put Brooks Snyder of Williamsport at the top of the leaderboard at the IGA Public Links. Three players tied for second after opening rounds of 67. Tyler Zink of Lanesville, Eric Steger of Noblesville and Jeff Mullin of Fountain City hold a one shot advantage over 2002 champion Randy Nichols of Brookville. “I made a lot of great two-putts, and my long-iron game was working well,” said Mullin, who was an alternate for the US Public Links Championship last year.

Royal Hylands Golf Course in Knightstown welcomed 98 players who have not held playing privileges at private clubs in 2009 for the 36-hole, stroke play event. Final round tee times begin at 8:00 am and can be viewed here.
