Perry Hangs On
| |||
Until at the fifth hole he hit his first errant shot, pulling his tee shot behind a tree and leaving himself a difficult approach. He managed to save par, but let his emotions show. Despite visible frustration with less than solid shots, Perry saved a string of pars and converted another birdie at the 10th. A lip-out at the 14th caused his first bogey of the tournament, and a missed 3-foot putt at the 16th forced the other. But his comfortable two shot lead heading into 17 and 18 was only made more comfortable when runner-up Brodie Williams of Lapel pushed his second shot at the par 5, 18th hole into a pine tree and had to take an unplayable. Williams finished with a bogey and three strokes back at 67-66=133. See complete results here. | |||
