Round 1 Completed
June 23rd 2010 - After three days at Country Club of Indianapolis, the first round of the State Amateur Championship is finally completed. Carl Hobbs of Elwood took the lead Wednesday morning with a round of 66. "I only missed about three greens and I got up and down each time I missed," he explained. That included an up and down from the sand as well. "I knew this round was very important considering the weather issues we have had. I didn't know what was going to happen with the cut so I stayed really focused all day," said Hobbs. "I have to give credit to my son Tanner for caddying too."

Half of the field took to the course Wednesday afternoon to complete 36.
