Todd Palmer (a) of Fishers carded a 36-35=71 at The Hawthorns G. & C.C. during the opening round of the E-Z-GO Indianapolis Open. He finished one stroke in front of fellow amateur Andrew Frandsen of Lebanon who fired a 32-40=72. Two PGA Professionals, Dave Pugh of Mystic Hills G.C. and Jon Stutz of Purgatory G.C. finished the day in third with 73's.
