Brittany's Legacy: Brittany was a PGA Professional and Assistant Pro at Woodland Country Club in Carmel, Indiana. She lost her battle with ovarian cancer August 31, 2021. Brittany is best known for blazing a trail for women’s golf. She was the first woman in Indiana to be awarded the 2022 Indiana PGA Golf Professional of the Year and named Indiana PGA Women’s Player of the Year three consecutive years. Brittany was honored to hear that this award will carry her name from here forward. Brittany was also the first female to win the Assistant of the Year in 2017. She was a member of the USA PGA Tournament Committee and the Indiana PGA Board of Directors where she co-chaired the Associates Committee focusing on improving the communication to/and education of Associate professionals. Brittany’s most memorable golf experience was when she was a member of the inaugural Women’s PGA Cup Team and led the United States team to a victory in 2019. It was Brittany's wish and her family’s hope that this Memorial Fund fund will continue her legacy in supporting girls and women's golf in the state of Indiana through the Indiana Golf Foundation and Indiana Section PGA. Indiana Golf Journey: Brittany Kelly's journey was closely tied to Indiana Golf and the memorial fund is intentionally supporting areas of need that made an impact in her life along the way. Brittany particpated in the Indiana Junior Golf Program growing up, came back during college to intern as a Junior Tournament Coordinator, and then went on to establish a career in the industry as a PGA Professional.
1. The Brittany Kelly Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship will support a female Indiana Golf Junior Program particpant with a $2,500 college scholarship.
